Before you install
Back up the WordPress site and confirm that the plugin release supports your WordPress and PHP versions. On an established website, try the change on a staging copy first. Keep a record of the plugin version and any configuration you change.
Install a plugin ZIP
When you have an official Shumac release ZIP, open Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin in WordPress. Select the ZIP, install it and activate it. Install and activate the matching free core before a Pro add-on when the release instructions require it.
Set up Shumac Chat
Prepare your contact-channel destinations and a welcome message. Configure the available channels in the plugin settings, save the changes and inspect the result as a logged-out visitor. Test every channel link on both a phone and desktop. Pro settings vary by release.
Set up Shumac Apartments
Create a small test building and unit before importing your working records. Check the owner, staff and tenant permissions using separate test accounts. Verify opening balances, vacancy visibility and maintenance access before entering live tenant information.
Add public listings
The apartment project includes an Elementor listing integration. Add the listing widget where you want properties to appear, then check the available display settings. Use the shortcode supplied with your installed release if you prefer a Shortcode widget.
Updates and troubleshooting
Keep a recovery backup, record the installed versions and read release notes before updating. If something changes unexpectedly, capture the page URL, the steps that caused it and the exact error message. Share those details through Support; never include passwords or private tenant records.
